In the schools that LOVE works with, students are invited to join Violence Prevention Committees. With the guidance of LOVE staff and youth leaders, the committee meets for in-depth discussions about youth violence in their own lives, and also creates a project to communicate a message of anti-violence to their peers and their community. Some examples include: an anti-violence talent show, newsletters, assemblies, photojournalism exhibits and newspapers. The goal of these committees is for all students to learn about alternatives to violence as well as to create a culture of anti-violence.
