Eastern Canada's biggest skate event
The West 49 Canadian Open has moved to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, ON and takes place from September 29th - October 2nd, 2006 and we want you there! Check out the best field outside the X-Games competing for $75,000US in prize money.  There will be great parties all weekend long, don't miss a minute.

Massive New Street Course!
Montreal's SpinWorks, designers of last year's acclaimed street course will lay out the 2006 Billabong Street Course with the same progressive style of great flowing lines that let Greg Lutzka narrowly defeat Ryan Sheckler and Jereme Rogers at the 2005 Open.

Battle of the Brands is Back!
The highlight of the $75,000US competitions is the West 49 Battle of the Brands where five core categories of skate brands compete for cash and bragging rights – back to defend their titles for 2006 will be the teams from Billabong (Clothing), Etnies (Shoes), Tensor (Trucks), Bones (Wheels) and Girl (Decks).
